Sorry it has been some time since I have blogged. Things have been a little crazy!! But anyways we won't go into all of that!! LOL. Kayla's gym, "The Cheer Center" had a competition this past weekend at the Columbus Convention Center!! It was a 2 day competition. Let me just say, these are the hardest events for me to photograph. I took 400+ photos between the 2 days. As I sat Sunday night going through all the pictures, I just wanted to cry. My pictures were not great. Several people have told me that I am just too hard on myself but no, they were bad.
One of the biggest problems I run into when photographing these types of events is you can't control the lighting and you can never get front and center to take pictures. A photographers nightmare let me tell you. I tried to sneak in the middle at one point and got yelled at!! I looked at the pictures I took over and over. Some were not bad just dark. So I worked some magic that I have learned from my mentor. I must say, I am proud of the results!!
The Cheer Center did very well this weekend. Tiny's-1st, Mini's-1st, Junior-1st, Youth-3rd, Senior 3-1st and Senior 5-1st. It was a very fun but long weekend. Enjoy these few photos and let me know what you think!! They were taken with my Nikon D90 and using my 70-200 lense!!
