My 1st photo shoot!!!!

Last Thursday I got a phone call asking me if I would be interested in photographing a commencement that was taking place on Saturday!! Wow, I was totally honored but quite scared at the same time! I agreed to do it and then it was time to really study my camera. Boy, was I nervous. I visited one of my favorite websites. http://www.kenrockwell.com/ I sure learned alot from that website and was totally amazed at just all my camera really can do!! But anyways, I really focused on lighting because I figured it would be somewhat dark in there.

So Saturday comes and I wake up to the worst case of butterflies in my stomach. I was beyond nervous. I mean you only get one chance at shooting a commencement ceremony!! What if my pictures turned out awful? I must have had a million questions running through my head that morning!!

I show up at the location an hour prior to everything starting to take some practice shots and make sure all the setting on my camera were just right!! The butterflies just wouldn't go away!! LOL. The ceremony finally started at am and there I go. I started shooting pictures like I have done it for years!! In an hour I shot 1,600 pictures!! I was so proud of myself!! Here are a couple pics to show off!!

They are nowhere near perfect but for my 1st time, I was happy with myself!! This is not an event hat I would like to do all the time, but it was great for the experience!!
